Volunteers Week

1 st – 7 th June 2010

Volunteers Week Award Ceremony was very successful and enjoyed by all.
We had about 120 people attend.  Stirling Observer took a group photograph.
John welcomed everyone and introduced Bailie Ian Brown. He announced that this would be the last celebration organised by The Volunteer Centre because of the new Third Sector Interface which will be taking its place shortly.
Everyone was delighted and very appreciative of their Awards.  Bailie Ian Brown presented the Awards and was very impressed by the work the volunteers were doing, and was unaware of some of it.
He was very interested in each Award winner taking time to get a picture with them.
Riverside Ceilidh Band was very good and eventually got people dancing.
The Buffet was very good and enjoyed by all.
Karen Hall took photographs during the evening, and was herself presented with a Volunteer Star award.
